Terry Blaze

Terry Blaze is Wooton Bassett's former friend and a dishonest comic creator who builds the popular Happy Porpoise character from Wooton's stolen Jolly Dolphin artwork. Years earlier, Terry had dismissed the cheerful dolphin as something children would never love. He later registers the copyright, changes the character into someone selfish and mean, and uses a hidden recording to trap Wooton during their dispute. With Wooton's original drawings lost, Terry expects his legal claim to win. A surviving picture and a live drawing contest expose the truth when Wooton can reproduce every detail and Terry cannot. Competitive, sneaky, and hungry for success, Terry receives unexpected kindness when Wooton offers him a chance to help create new adventures honestly.
