Robbie Holt

Robbie Holt is an Odyssey boy who borrows a dollar from Scott Williams and becomes the target of Scott's anger when repayment is late. Scott has just received mercy from Tom Riley after stealing apples and breaking a fence. Instead of extending similar patience, he shoves Robbie into garbage cans over the small debt. The crash alerts Tom, who sees that Scott has not understood the kindness shown to him. Robbie's mistreatment becomes the clearest proof of that failure. Tom then calls Officer Harley and requires Scott to return to the orchard, where he must work off every penny of the damage. Robbie's brief encounter exposes the contradiction between gladly receiving forgiveness and refusing to show mercy to someone who owes far less.
