Rhoda

Rhoda was a girl in the early Christian community at Jerusalem and the daughter of Seth. Her family welcomed Matthew Parker after the Imagination Station placed him among believers shortly after Jesus returned to heaven. Through Rhoda, Matthew witnessed the excitement and disorder of the growing church, including Pentecost, miracles, arrests, arguments, and generous care for the poor. Her father sold a treasured field to help other believers, giving Rhoda a close example of sincere sacrifice. When persecution intensified under Saul, Rhoda and the other Christians had to leave Jerusalem and carry their message elsewhere. Friendly and faithful, she helped Matthew understand that God works through communities made of imperfect people.
