Pastor Rhee

Pastor Rhee is a compassionate Christian in Seoul who has opened his crowded home to eighteen abandoned children, many of whom have disabilities. He is also the adoptive father of Yi-Won, whom he taught that her life has value and purpose. After finding a baby outside in dangerous cold, Rhee dreams of building a protected drop box where desperate parents can leave infants safely and anonymously. Whit and Eugene help construct it, and several babies soon arrive. Although officials question the home's lack of a license, Rhee keeps caring for every child placed before him. Gentle, determined, and resourceful, he responds to abandonment by creating a family and seeking safer ways to protect children who might otherwise be left in danger.
