Mrs. Phillips

Mrs. Phillips is a cleaning lady in Odyssey who faces eviction after her husband has died and unpaid bills have piled up. With no money for movers, she needs help leaving her home on the same Saturday as a crucial soccer game. Eric Myers finds her crying in the locker room and quietly promises to help. He also keeps her situation private, leaving him unable to explain why he plans to miss the game. Her need becomes the occasion for the whole team to choose compassion over competition. Whit, Coach Bryant, and the players arrive together to move her belongings and still reach the field. Though lonely and overwhelmed, Mrs. Phillips discovers that help can come when someone finally shares the burden.
