Aunt Patty

Aunt Patty is Vincent Smouse's mother and the overwhelmed host of the annual Smouse Family Christmas Party. A last-minute move to her house leaves her facing a fallen tree, smoking stove, raw goose, missing glasses, and the early arrival of a critical grandmother. When Grandma suggests that Patty and Vincent should leave Odyssey, Patty refuses to let one chaotic holiday define their life together. She recognizes that mother and son make a strong team and firmly declares that they are staying. Vincent secretly ruins an unpleasant loaf of Stollen to spare her embarrassment, but Patty's love does not depend on a perfect dinner. Her resolve reveals a capable parent beneath the confusion of an exceptionally stressful day.
