Ollie

Ollie is a scout for the Empirical Modeling Agency who recruits young performers at the mall with Genevieve. He praises Liz's face, Mandy's features, and Jared's forehead while presenting the agency as a path toward television work. The opportunity leads the three students into a shampoo commercial, but the glamour hides heavy fees, tiny pay, and rapid replacement by newer faces. Ollie later tells Mandy that Liz recommended her for the role, unintentionally encouraging a reconciliation based on an incomplete understanding of Liz's motives. By the time the whole truth is known, the friends recognize how the agency uses praise to keep finding disposable talent. They follow Ollie and Genevieve through the mall to warn other possible recruits.
