Oliver Drevil

Oliver Drevil is the manager of Odyssey Bank and the father of Andrew Drevil. He uses his trusted position to help Andrew stage an elaborate diversion involving City Hall's clock, black roses, and a mysterious veiled figure. While the town gathers to watch a dramatic countdown reach 11:45, father and son plan to open the bank vault and rob it. The clues point so neatly toward the public spectacle that Whit realizes it must be drawing attention away from another target. Police reach the bank as the vault door opens and catch the conspirators. Oliver's crime depends on insider access and a communitywide distraction, showing how respectable authority can be abused when personal greed replaces responsibility.
