O-McRonald

Eli O-McRonald is an elderly farmer and inventor who lives in the land of yore with his daughter, Priscilla. Before leaving her in charge of the farm for a year, he gives her careful instructions, warns her against a certain salesman, and presents her with a can of Secure Original Nutrient. Eli values this mysterious gift above every possession except Priscilla herself. When he returns, he finds that she has ignored his warning, ruined the farm, and fallen deeply into debt to Lou Sipher. Yet Eli gladly forgives his repentant daughter. He explains that the nutrient was meant for her and that its power has erased Lou's claim. Patient, inventive, and loving, Eli represents a father whose wisdom provides rescue even after his child rejects it.
