Nimrod

King Nimrod was the tyrant who ruled ancient Babel and commanded construction of a tower reaching into the clouds. He demanded worship of a false god and enslaved people to haul stones for his grand project. Those who resisted faced death, including the parents of Lillia. When guards captured Eugene, Nathaniel, and believers from Eber's household, Nimrod's system prepared to sacrifice prisoners at the tower's summit. Human unity under his rule depended on force, pride, and shared rebellion against God. At the crucial moment, the people's single language broke into many languages, throwing the ceremony and construction into confusion. The prisoners escaped without violence, and the population scattered into nations. Nimrod's failed tower shows that unity cannot become good merely by gathering everyone beneath one ruler's ambition.
