Mildred Kendall

Mildred Kendall was Bill Kendall's mother and Connie Kendall's grandmother. After suffering a heart attack, she spent her final days in the hospital with Connie close beside her. Mildred asked her granddaughter to hold her hand and pray, giving Connie a deeply personal reason to wrestle with questions about healing and unanswered prayer. While other children hoped the Imagination Station could change their physical limitations, Connie hoped God would restore the grandmother she loved. Mildred eventually died peacefully. Her passing brought Connie sorrow, but Connie's faith allowed her to see their separation as temporary. Instead of a final goodbye, she could promise the grandmother she loved that she would see her again.
