Metal Guy is a magnetized man whom Dotty meets while traveling through Little Land. He joins her journey to the Great Wishy Woz because he believes he needs love. Like Dotty's other companions, he expects the powerful Woz to supply what is missing from his life. Instead, he is sent on an errand meant to prove his worthiness. Metal Guy pursues pleasure at a shopping mall, where his metallic body eventually rusts stiff. Even after the Woz is exposed as an ordinary man, Metal Guy refuses to release the burden he has collected. That choice keeps him from fitting through the Wee Skinny Gate. His experience shows the emptiness of seeking lasting love through pleasure and possessions.
