Malah

Malah was Obed-Edom's wife and the mother of eight sons during the reign of King David. Years after her husband's leg was shattered in battle, drought and debt left her carrying much of their struggling household. When David asked them to shelter the Ark of the Covenant, Malah shared the danger, worship, and painful rejection that followed. Their sons cut off contact, but the home soon received an extraordinary harvest and their sick grandson recovered. Malah longed to keep the Ark when David returned after three months. Obed-Edom reminded her that clinging to it merely for blessings would be wrong. Together they released it and joined the family in a new season of service in Jerusalem.
