Kyria

Kyria is an emerald-skinned Whittonian created by Renee Carter inside the virtual world of Whitonia. Once given freedom to learn and choose, she plans a garden, asks questions, and weaves a flower wreath for her creator. Professor Lebernis exploits that freedom, persuading Kyria to reveal a forbidden computer link and flooding the inhabitants with knowledge. Angry at discovering their artificial nature, Kyria helps reject Renee and becomes the namesake of a warring faction. After Whitonia is rebooted, she again demonstrates compassion by bringing food to suffering Malabatus and encouraging him to plant after a flood. Curious, stubborn, and capable of care, Kyria embodies both the risks and possibilities of free choice. Her reactions help Renee understand why a creator permits growth without forcing trust.
