Joe Gordon

Joe Gordon is a celebrity chef who hosts Back Shelf Bake Off and runs a highly desired mentorship program for teenagers. On camera, he judges unusual cooking teams with flair, praising Trey's steak pie and dismissing Wooton and Penny's raw meat fort as the show's worst effort. Away from the spotlight, Gordon is rude about Odyssey and admits that he does not personally read mentorship applications. He enjoys Trey's peach cobbler until a hidden pit chips his tooth, then eliminates the team immediately. Skilled and famous but impatient, Joe represents the impressive mentor Trey thinks he needs. His behavior helps Trey discover that a lesser known, caring adult may offer more valuable guidance than a celebrated expert who barely notices the young people seeking his help.
