Joan

Joan works at the front desk of the Harlequin Theater and enforces the rules for an audio-drama contest. Surrounded by old scripts and clippings she must box for storage, she informs Zoe, Jay, and Buddy that their entry runs four seconds too long. Joan refuses to call the excess trivial, but she gives the team a chance to requalify and quietly arranges for their drama to play last. She also explains that Vincent signed in earlier before leaving on a mysterious series of errands. Vincent later returns, trims the recording, prints Joan clearer labels, and helps organize her storage boxes. When the team's production wins, Joan announces the result and watches the overlooked helper receive the recognition he deserves.
