Jefferson Grant

Jefferson Grant is the lone survivor of a stagecoach ambush and the hero of a Kids' Radio Western. As the Lone Lawman, he vows to bring Deadwood Joe's gang to justice. A pastor warns him that justice without mercy can become revenge, but the distinction is tested when young Percy O'Toole helps the gang rob a bank. After the outlaws betray Percy, tie him up, and set his house on fire, Jefferson must choose between chasing criminals and rescuing the boy. He charges into the flames, saves Percy, and still recovers the stolen gold, though Deadwood Joe escapes. The experience changes his understanding of law. Jefferson rides on knowing that true justice protects the vulnerable and leaves room for mercy toward someone who can still change.
