Jean Forbes

Jean Forbes is the mother of Emily and Mark and the wife of Bob Forbes. Warm, practical, and quick with a joke, she tries to understand why Emily suddenly dreads a dentist appointment she had eagerly anticipated. When the frightened girl insists nothing is wrong, Jean and Bob check her temperature, offer reassurance, and pray with her. Dr. Frank Graves eventually discovers that Mark has filled his sister's imagination with terrifying stories and teaches him a harmless lesson.
