James Armer

James Armer is a young American writer researching in Moldavia when an airplane crash brings injured Prince Roderick to his cottage. Because the two look remarkably alike, James agrees to impersonate the drugged prince so a traitorous cousin cannot seize power. After studying Roderick's voice and walk through the night, James enters the palace and accepts a coronation in his place. The deception becomes dangerous when Von Warberg appears with a pistol, and James takes a knife wound intended for the rightful ruler. Once the plot is exposed, he refuses wealth and honors, accepting only a pocket watch. Brave, observant, and unselfish, James uses an extraordinary resemblance to protect a country that may never know what he did.
