Jahi

Jahi is a member of one of two Karamojong tribes caught in a long cycle of cattle raids and revenge. After Bokura warriors attack Elizabeth Sparks's ranch and a father is killed, hatred threatens to provoke another round of bloodshed. Elizabeth risks her safety by calling both tribes to a peace conference. There, old grievances are named and Whit speaks about Jesus choosing forgiveness toward His enemies. When the Bokura enter the fertile land between the villages under a horn of peace, Jahi kneels before young Mirimbe and asks her forgiveness. She grants it, and the tribes join hands as one people. Jahi's humble request turns a public agreement into something personal, showing that peace begins when someone admits wrong and another releases revenge.
