Harlequin Doylicus

Harlequin Doylicus is a wisecracking detective in an ancient Jerusalem mystery presented on B-TV. Pilate's wife hires him because she cannot sleep until she learns the truth about Jesus of Nazareth. Doylicus interviews witnesses who encountered Jesus before and after the crucifixion, including a healed follower, a secret admirer, and the centurion who stood at the cross. Each testimony brings him closer to an answer that cannot be dismissed as rumor. Although his manner is playful and his case sounds impossible, he takes the evidence seriously. Doylicus finally delivers a clear verdict: Jesus was exactly who he claimed to be. His investigation turns questions about truth into a lively courtroom-style search for reliable witnesses.
