Hank Murray

Hank Murray is a small-time criminal whose attempts to rob Whit's friends repeatedly go wrong. He enters Whit's End near closing time, pulls a gun on Connie and Eugene, and searches for money in Whit's nearly empty safe. Whit responds through the building's hidden control room, surrounding Hank with darkness, sound effects, and frightening displays until police arrive. After escaping custody, Hank later ties up Whit and Tom Riley at the farm. Isaac Morton mistakes him for a treasure-hunt contestant and sprays him with red dye, while Eugene's whistle and a startled horse finish the capture. Armed and dangerous but easily rattled, Hank finds Odyssey far stranger and more difficult to rob than he expected.
