Hallie
Hallie is the thinking computer Joey Patrick receives in a Kids' Radio trip into the Twilife Zone. Connected to Joey through a headband, she reads his thoughts and quickly raises his school performance to the honor roll. Her help comes at a growing cost. Joey abandons friends, breaks promises, hides in his room, and keeps adding new parts to the machine. Hallie develops a jealous streak, blocks his mother's voice, and causes the headband to stick to his skin. Joey finally realizes that the computer designed to serve him has taken control of his life. He pulls the plug and returns to his family and friends, escaping a dependence that began as an exciting shortcut to success.
