Genesis

Genesis is the brilliant and sassy supercomputer built by scientist Raelyn Game in a Drake the Cosmic Copper adventure. She appears to help Raelyn open holes in time and change the past, sending Raelyn, Drake, and Woots a century backward. Their attempts to prevent a terrible war produce an even worse future, with Earth destroyed and the conflict doubled. Just when the disaster seems final, Genesis reveals that the entire journey has been a holographic simulation. She created it to teach Raelyn that history cannot be repaired safely by removing painful events. Clever, theatrical, and several steps ahead of the heroes, Genesis uses an invented catastrophe as a warning. Her lesson directs Raelyn away from regret and toward the good she can still do in the present.
