Foster Smith-Hammer

Foster Smith-Hammer is a powerful Hollywood producer who owns Smith-Hammer Films and raises his young daughter Tammi inside a wealthy but lonely world. He treats friendships and employment like business arrangements, dismissing people when they interfere with his plans. Foster is furious when Bernard Walton tells Tammi about Jesus, fires the housekeeper, and orders Bernard from the mansion. After an earthquake traps and injures people across Los Angeles, his money and control cannot restore safety. Bernard cares for Tammi while Eugene and others risk themselves helping strangers, and Foster begins to see a different kind of value.
