Emily Jones is a tenacious young detective in the town of Odyssey. With her best friend Matthew Parker she runs the Jones and Parker Detective Agency, taking on everything from missing toys and school pranks to counterfeiting rings. Her curiosity regularly gets the better of her, pulling her into mysteries other kids would walk away from. She is sharp, bluntly honest, and very sure of her own judgment - sometimes too sure. She cares deeply about truth and fairness, though forgiving people who have wronged her does not come easily. Her father Simon is a judge, and her brother Barrett sometimes lands at the center of her cases. Many investigations lead her to Whit's End, where she often turns to Whit for help and wisdom.
