Drew Reagles

Drew Reagles is a skilled young football player from Vernon City who arrives in Odyssey posing as a friendly newcomer. Claiming a shoulder injury, he becomes the team's equipment manager and wins Buck Oliver's trust by praising his play and tutoring him in algebra. Drew also shares a believable story about divorced parents and an absent father. His real purpose is to steal Odyssey's football playbook before the state championship. Eugene recognizes the deception and leaves a harmless fake playbook as bait, exposing the scheme without endangering the team. Drew's betrayal wounds Buck more deeply than losing any game. The experience teaches Buck that some people misuse trust, but shutting everyone out would cost him worthy relationships too.
