David Hornsby

David Hornsby is a boy who relies on a Psalm 119 emergency operator whenever he faces a spiritual dilemma. When members of the Love People enter his home and demand that he bow before a statue of their founder, David knows the request is wrong but cannot remember a supporting Bible verse. A desperate call to 119 supplies the Scripture that sends the visitors away. His escape is successful, yet it reveals a weakness shared by other Kids Radio heroes who depend on operators, animals, or gadgets to know God's Word for them. David's predicament illustrates why borrowed knowledge is unreliable in a real crisis. He needs Scripture hidden in his own heart, ready before pressure arrives and no helper is available to answer the telephone.
