Chas Wentworth is a wealthy, spoiled camper at Camp What-A-Nut, where his father owns an interest in the camp. He begins the week by tripping Donny McCoy and repeatedly mocking him for being small. Chas also makes fancy demands of Marco, the camp cook, and later tries to lure a skunk into Marco's cabin with a trail of popcorn. The plan backfires spectacularly when the skunk follows Chas instead. A tomato juice bath removes the smell, while Marco's warning about revenge gives Chas something more important to consider. After Donny bravely guides Whit home from the woods, Chas admits that he was wrong and offers the boy a sincere apology.
