Chang Fang

Chang Fang coaches the Odyssey Owls, a basketball team in the town of Odyssey. His players have included Ryan Cummings and Brad Rowl, each of whom has served as team captain. Fang shows a practical, strategic mind on the bench. In one close game he used his captain as a decoy, calling for a final pass to the less-guarded Cummings, who made the winning shot. His teams have faced hard seasons, with narrow defeats and locker-room quarrels, yet he keeps them playing. He also handles discipline when needed. After Vance King stole the team's owl mascot as part of a paid scheme, Fang oversaw the boy's twenty-one days of detention, which began with scrubbing the locker room.
