Brenda Perry

Brenda Perry is a schoolgirl in Odyssey who counts Erica Clark and Charles Thompson among her friends. She has a weakness for shortcuts with the truth. When she helped Erica with bicycle-helmet safety posters, the vice principal credited her with the whole project. She soaked up the school's applause before confessing and handing Erica the credit, and Erica forgave her and kept her on as a partner. Brenda once stretched the truth further in letters to Thor, a pen pal in Connecticut, inventing straight A's, chess trophies, and a debate-team spot. When he came to visit, she scrambled to become the girl she had described, only to discover her pen pal had been pretending too. She is also slow to write thank-you notes, though she once ran after Connie just to say thanks.
