Ben Shepard

Ben Shepard is the father of Aubrey and Bethany Shepard, and the husband of Ellen. He and his family are relative newcomers to Odyssey, drawn there partly through his old connection to Tom Riley. Twenty-five years ago, a stranger rescued Ben on the road, and that stranger turns out to be Tom himself. Ben is a committed Christian whose faith shapes how he raises his daughters. The family homeschools Aubrey, and Ben holds firm on matters of conviction even when it makes him unpopular at home. He is patient and steady rather than showy. He is handy around the house, and he believes serving God means working faithfully wherever you are placed. His deepest concern is his strong-willed older daughter, for whom he prays earnestly.
