Anna Warner

Anna Warner was a quiet American writer whose small act of obedience created an influence she could never have measured. In 1860, she wrote the simple song "Jesus Loves Me" for young listeners near West Point. The hymn later strengthened missionary Amy Carmichael during a dangerous rescue of an enslaved girl in India. Generations afterward, island scouts sang it while helping save a shipwrecked World War II crew.
