Amy Scott is Logan Scott's mother and a nurse who has been absent from his life for years. When Logan is injured in a plane crash at an isolated Alaskan cabin, Wooton flies south searching for medical help and returns with Amy. Her arrival brings a long-separated mother unexpectedly to her son's bedside at the moment he needs care most. Amy does not share the confident faith of Wooton and his missionary friend Will, but she uses her training to help Logan recover. The rescue cannot erase the family's years of pain, yet it gives her a chance to serve the child she left behind. Her return becomes one part of Logan's difficult journey toward hope, prayer, and restored identity.
