Alexandria Decker

Detective Alexandria Decker is a thought detective inside Valerie Swanson's mind. She works in a strange mental city of thought-trains, sleepy officials, missing ideas, and lies that behave like criminals. Decker recruits Valerie as her rookie partner while investigating the disappearance of Love of Painting. Together they capture lies called That's Ugly and You Have No Talent, then confront the deeper falsehood of Worthlessness. Decker is observant, disciplined, and determined to identify harmful thoughts rather than accept them as truth. Her investigation helps Valerie recognize how hidden beliefs have shaped both her creativity and her cruelty toward others. Decker gives Valerie a way to examine her inner life with the same care a detective brings to evidence.
