Professor Aldus Webster is an expert on the legendary treasure of Le Monde. He confirms that a riddle found inside an old pipe organ at Whit's End belongs to a chain of clues left by a prankster French missionary. Although he appears helpful, Webster wants the treasure for himself. After Robyn solves the musical riddle and reveals a hidden telescope, he ties up her and Connie and races toward the distant cave. His greed leads him through traps until Whit finds him hanging upside down above a small box. Webster still refuses to surrender it. When he forces the box open, green dye sprays his face, and the treasure inside proves to be a Bible rather than gold.
