With no new news recently, there hasn't been much to post! I've changed the poll on the right, this time asking about your current favorite things about this website. In the previous poll, "Articles" and "Interviews" were the most selected things people would like to see more of. I'll do my best to provide both (and more) for you in the coming months!

Well as I said I would do earlier this week, I've launched the next section to "The Soda Fountain Quiz"! This time there's 40 questions involving locations from Adventures in Odyssey. Originally it was going to be 60, but I had a mishap last night and discovered I had deleted the file containing the questions. So I scrambled and was only able to finish up 40... But I'll continue to add more as I come up with them (and if you have any, feel free to send me them!) So, good luck! I've increased the difficulty level quite a bit with this next round of questions. After all, this ain't your Momma's trivia. (Did I really just write that?)

And of note is that Dave's AIO Site has posted news about "Faith Launch", a collection of various episodes from Adventures in Odyssey (12 in total). As I'm not in the habit of keeping track of the "Special Edition" Odyssey's on this website, you won't find much information about them here but definitely click over to Dave's AIO Site for more information (such as the episodes involved) and cover art images!

I've made a change to "The Soda Fountain Quiz". There is now a maximum number of questions a user can take at any given time: 30. Why did I do this? Because when taking the full test, it's easy to see the answers you got wrong and then retake the test with the corrected answers. By allowing you to take a maximum of 30 questions at a time, you're guaranteed to get some new questions in there that you might not know the answer to. So the 30 questions will be randomly generated from a much larger pool of questions so you're going to get a different test everytime.

I should also mentioned that come this Saturday, I'll post another 60 trivia questions based on the "Locations of Odyssey". The following week will be a category on "Episode Titles" and the week after that will be "Behind the Scenes". I'm not sure how many questions each category will have, but it will be over 50. We've got to find something to do while we wait for April 24.

See the poll to the right? Just yet another recent addition to the site. You can access the "The Soda Fountain Quiz " from the "Misc Section", "The Odyssey Scrapbook" from the "Articles Section", and the Guestbook from right here. The latter two can also be accessed from the right side panel of most pages.

As I'm a strong believer in simplicity and organization, I currently have the three aforementioned sections listed on the top right of the site as well. I personally think they're a bit of an eye-sore, so I'll see if there's anything else I can do to make it more pleasant... or maybe I'll remove the poll on the right completely and with it the problem of re-organizing!

So am I done with the new additions? Almost. I have one other thing I'd like to implement, but I have to work out the bugs. I'm busy for the remainder of this week with school related activities, but I'll try and add it this weekend... if I can get it to work.

Well yesterday I added a Guestbook, and today? Well... do you love trivia? Well... then you're really gonna love the newest feature to the Soda Fountain! I have uploaded 100 trivia questions for you to do your best and try and answer! They're not that difficult, but should prove to be fun. Don't feel like doing 100? That's fine too... you can do either 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 or all 100 of them. Your score will then be kept in a database and compared against other Odyssey fans... wouldn't you like to see your name on the high score list? Let's get started!

With this new feature, I can add plenty more categories and questions. I've started off with 100 questions about characters, and in the coming weeks I'll add more categories such as "Behind the Scenes", "Locations", and "Episodes". Each category features a mixture of multiple choice, short answer, true/false, and numerical response. And best of all... it's all random! So have fun, and let me know if you have any problems.

UPDATE: I have since removed two questions which were incorrect to start with. I apologize for the inconvience, as I wrote most of these questions at 2:00 in the morning... some things I didn't think to double check. I have replaced them with two new questions. Thanks to Luke Asove for pointing these out to me! Also, for those who aren't getting the quiz to work... make sure you click on the circle beside "Odyssey Characters".

Still not a whole lot of AIO news going on, though I did finally get around to adding a Guestbook to this site. Feel free to sign it... you know you want to! :o) Other than that, I'm not sure what kind of news you can expect to find on this site in the coming weeks, but if anything is interesting enough I'll pass it along your way.

Since The Town Hall seems to still be suffering, I've gone a bit more forward with The Soda Fountain Boards (link disabled). Discussions haven't quite gotten up to speed yet (word is still going out there's a new board around these parts), but quite a few members have registered in the short hours the boards have been live. I hope you enjoy them!

I also have an update on my news story yesterday about "Daring Deeds and Sinister Schemes". Apparently, the word and has been dropped from the new album cover, so it is in fact "Daring Deeds, Sinister Schemes" exactly as it was 14 years ago. Also, the new album cover for "The FUN-damentals" has been revealed. Though it's clearly not the final version yet, as the title of the album is nowhere to be found. I do like the art style though.

UPDATE: The Town Hall has returned to the internet, and so, The Soda Fountain Boards return to the darkness.

March 15, 2004
Well I've returned from my trip and it appears The Town Hall died on us while I was away. I'm not sure when it will be back, nor do I know what's wrong as I haven't had a chance to speak with anyone about what happen. In the meantime, if you're desperate to talk with people, I've created a temporary board (link disabled) on my site with an identical look and style to The Town Hall. I have uploaded a few template variations and many avatars for you to pick from. If you don't like the ones I have, you may also upload your own without needing to wait for me to get around to it. Once The Town Hall is operational again, I will keep your registrations all intact so that if The Town Hall board's ever go down again, you can easily switch back to this board. Hope this helps!

There's also some news regarding upcoming album releases. According to Amazon, "In Hot Pursuit" (the newest album of AIO) will be available April 22, 2004. "The FUN-damentals" will be available April 23, 2004 and "Daring Deeds and Sinister Schemes" will be available on April 22, 2004 as well. Notice the and has been used instead of a comma in the new "Daring Deeds, Sinister Schemes"? You've got to wonder what the point of making such a slight change is.

Amazon also lists "Terrific Tales, Mysterious Missions" and "Courageous Characters, Fabulous Friends" as being available July 1, 2004. (They of course will be titled differently, but this is the listing for their CD counterparts). I would take these two dates as very tentative and perhaps not rooted in any truth. I was under the impression the next set of albums wouldn't be ready until 2005... however it might have changed and I'll let you know what I find out.

March 12, 2004
Still nothing new to report in the world of AIO, though The Odyssey Scoop updated their website with 20 fan interviews. So if you like reading them, head on over!

I'll be away for most of this weekend, as I have some things I need to take care of out west, but I'll be back by Monday. Since this week (and every other week until April 24) is a repeat, there's not much to do around here anyway in terms of live content. I'll continue working on the Character Lists next week, once some of my classes die down, and still hope to have them all up by the end of the month. After that, I get to work on the massive actor database!

March 09, 2004
I apologize for the lack of updates recently. It's not that I haven't had the time to update, but there just hasn't been any news to post! And rather than waste your time, I try and only update when I have something new to share with you or want to direct you to where you might find something new. So what's new? Well The Official Site has posted word that they've received 1300 title submissions for the remastered Album 07. The winner will be announced soon, though I don't believe the album itself will come out till 2005.

Also, if you browse the albums section you may noticed "Daring Deeds, Sinister Schemes" and the as of yet unnamed remake of "Terrific Tales, Mysterious Missions" will contain a swap of episodes. "Heatwave" which is originally in "Daring Deeds, Sinister Schemes" has been swapped with "An Encounter with Mrs. Hooper" from "Terrific Tales, Mysterious Missions". The reason for this change? Richard Maxwell is supposed to be in jail after "The Battle I & II", yet in the following album he's out and about working at the old folk's home. They aired in the correct order, but were put in a rather strange array when the albums were produced. With the newly remastered CD's on the way, this problem is finally rectified. If this is old news to you, I apologize: This information has been on this site for nearly 3 weeks, but I completely forgot to make note of it here on the main page.

March 06, 2004
"It's time for another story by Ber-nard!" In fact, I can't even remember the last time we had one. What was it... last week? It's been so long I don't rightly know! :o) Hehe, seriously though "Bernard and Saul" is hitting the airwaves this very day. Do the usual: listen at Oneplace, check out my review, and react with your friends at The Town Hall. If you don't have any there... it's never to late to make some! This is the last new episode in a while, so savour it. New shows will continue April 24.

Just doing some house cleaning around here by archiving February to make way for March. I'm going to be busy for the majority of this week as I have some midterms coming up and a few assignments that need doing. So, I'll post anything I come across that will interest you, but there probably won't be any additions to the Episode Guide character lists just yet. Though I'll continue to work on it. And as usual, check out "The Odyssey Scrapbook" if you haven't already done so. I'm thinking about posting another dozen or so images (maybe more!) pretty soon as they seem to be quite popular. So keep coming!
