in this episode, Jack Allen says that Whit wrote him a few weeks ago and yet in a later episode, Jack tries to sneak out of town because he says that the last words Whit said to him were that he didn't ever want to see him again. If that is true, why would Jack Allen come to visit only to sneak away before seeing him?
- lisa

He probably lost his nerve.

Eugene: (reading the letter from Whit) "Dear Eugene, I'm sorry I missed you. There's a lot I could say right now, but time has suddenly become very short. So rather than embarrass you by telling you how much I've come to love you, and how I'll pray for you every day, I'd like to leave you with this one simple thought . . .

Whit: The best is yet to come!
